Agreed on all counts!

The thing I liked the best was the (non-sexual) intimacy between the two couples, especially Jack and Carson. It was really well acted and believable, and they acted silly with each other the way couples do. I really liked it.

Also, great music choices! I really enjoyed the music throughout the show, especially the songs the actors sang along with. And the ending song, Hallelujah performed by KD Lang, has elements of being a woman, being gay, and being a Christian, all in one, tying together the major stories in a song.

And you didn't mention Carson's conflict of being gay and being a Catholic. I thought that story was really well presented and thought-provoking, although I thought they could have done a lot more with it.

And there were a few great jokes, but I can't say what they were without spoiling the story.
